Upcoming Deadlines (Standard Day)

Immediate Deadlines

Today is a major deadline day for several large school districts regarding the 2026-2027 school year. If you are a parent in these areas, action is required by the end of the business day:

• Saint Paul Public Schools (MN): Today is the Priority Application Deadline for all grades (PreK-12). This includes applications for Early Admission to Kindergarten.

• Palo Alto Unified (CA): Choice Program Lottery applications for the 2026-27 school year are due today by 4:00 PM.

• Seattle Public Schools (WA): While students are off for break, the Open Enrollment window for school choice is currently active (typically closing in late February/early March).

• Philadelphia (PA): Parents should check their portals today; initial waitlist offers for school selection began earlier this month and continue on a rolling basis every Monday.

Testing Windows

• Texas (STAAR): The TELPAS (Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System) alternate testing window is currently open (Feb 16 – Mar 27) for eligible English learners.

• New York (Regents): While the next major Regents exams aren’t until June, schools are currently finalizing rosters for the NYSAA (Alternate Assessment) window, which opens on March 9, 2026.

• National Prep: This is the peak “mock exam” season for juniors preparing for the SAT/PSAT School Day testing window that begins in early March.
