USA School Closures and Delays: Friday, November 21, 2025

District/Area State Status on Nov. 21, 2025 Details
New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) New York 3-Hour Early Dismissal High Schools, K–12, and 6–12 schools will have a three-hour early dismissal for Afternoon Parent-Teacher Conferences. Elementary and Middle Schools are generally unaffected on this date.
El Paso Independent School District (EPISD) Texas Early Release for Students This is a pre-scheduled Early Release Day for Students and a half-day for teachers (Teacher Work Day). This allows staff to prepare for the Thanksgiving Break, which starts on November 24.
Hillsborough Township Public Schools New Jersey Half-Day Grades K-4 Grades K-4 will have a half-day schedule for Parent-Teacher Conferences. Grades 5-12 will be in session for a full day.
York Region District School Board (YRDSB) Ontario, Canada (Included for reference as they observe similar patterns) Full School Day (Regular Friday) This is a regular instructional day for all students (Elementary and Secondary).
Harford County Public Schools Maryland Regular School Day Schools are OPEN and operating on a regular schedule. The calendar notes this is also Substitute Educators Day.
Fulton County School System Georgia Regular School Day Schools are OPEN and operating on a regular schedule before the Thanksgiving Break begins the following week (November 24).
